Teostati turu-uuring, mille tulemustest selgus, et hetkel puudub turul mootor deltaplaanil kasutamiseks, mis oleks kerge, piisava võimsuse, vesijahutusega ning hammasreduktoriga. Lõputöö käigus vaadeldi erinevaid mootoreid ning otsustati valida doonormootoriks Austria tootja Rotax 125 cm3 vesijahutusega kardimootor. Valitud mootori varuosad on Eestis kergesti hangitavad ning mootor on oma vastupidavust tõestanud kardispordis. Doonormootori detailidele teostati analüüs, mille käigus selgitati välja, milliseid sõlmi on võimalik kasutada projekteeritaval mootoril. Doonormootorilt mittesobivad osad projekteeriti uued või asendati muude ostutoodetega. Projekteeriti hammasreduktor, mille hammasülekandele teostati esialgne tugevusarvutus ning laagerdusele eluea arvutus. Majanduslikust analüüsist selgus, et projekteeritavat mootorit on võimalik müüa konkureerivate mootoritega samas hinnaklassis. Projekti edasiarendus jätkub. Esmaseks prioriteediks on uue süütesüsteemi valimine ning väljalaskesummuti projekteerimine, seejärel elektristarteri paigaldus. Massi vähendamiseks tehakse karteri seinad õhemad ning eemaldatakse silindri välispinnalt ebavajalikku materjali. Tulevikus on plaanis taotleda Eesti Patendiametist kasulik mudel.During the project there were examined several possibilities to design an ultralight aircraft engine. There was carried out a market research which concluded that there are no deltaplane engines on the market which have demands like high power output, water cooling, low weight and a spur geared reducer. Author decided to choose the water cooled donor engine from an Austrian kart engine manufacturer Rotax 125 cm3. The spare parts for chosen engine are well available in Estonia and the engine has proved its durability on kart competitions all over the world. The donor engine and parts were analyzed to find out which parts are suitable for paraengine and which new parts should be designed or produced. There was also designed a spur geared reducer, the gears and bearings were strenght analyzed to ensure they are suitable for the engine. In view of all the benefits the designed paraengine has it is possible to find market for that price. Development of the engine is continued.
