Kokkuvõttes saab töö lugeda õnnestunuks. 2023. aasta oktoobris õnnestus Solaride’i tiimil BWSC-l esimest korda osaledes koju tuua kolmas koht Cruiser-võistlusklassis. Poodiumikoha saavutamine tõestas, et Solaride teise generatsiooni päikeseauto oli suur edasiareng ja tiim on võimeline konkureerima maailma tippülikoolidega. Auto vastas seatud disainikriteeriumitele. Raamil ei tuvastatud pärast Eestis testimist ega Austraalias võistlemist ühtegi pragu ega väisumuse märki. Korralik toruraam sai toodetud ning testitud ja tulevikus ootab eest kandvate süsinikkomposiit detailidega eksperimenteerimine. Tehtud tööle tagasi vaadates, usub autor, et raam sai üle dimensioneeritud ja oleks olnud võimalik massi veel vähendada. Parandamist vajaks analüüside metoodika, et saada täpsemaid tulemusi. Ka tootmise poolel on kohti mida annab parandada. Peamiselt paindega torude täpsuse parandamine.The goal of this thesis is to design and build a space frame chassis for „Solaride II“ solarcar that is developed to compete in Bridgestone World Solar Challenge (BWSC). The thesis will give an overview of all the processes involved. The first part of the thesis focuses on diffirent design parameters set by the author and rules of BWSC. Comparisons are made to the previous generation solar car that the given design is seeking to improve on. Different materials for building the chassis are analyzed. FEM analysis test results of the chassis are illustrated. The second half of the thesis gives an overview of the manufacturing process of the chassis. Author covers fixtures that were specially designed for welding the chassis as well as the assembly sequence of the parts of the chassis.
