This teaching material has been compiled to provide students of applied higher education establishments with basic knowledge of supply chain management. It is meant primarily for the students of transport and logistics, but can be beneficial for students of other specialties, related to the field. The material can also be used by forwarders and shipping agents as a manual to refresh knowledge in this field. The teaching material contains references to legislative acts or other backup materials, providing thus additional information for finding and making use of them. The material consists of two parts and contains four topics: - Agreements, including international contracts - Risks and insurance, the ways of managing supply chain risks - Freight and transport contracts and documents - The basic principles of customs affairs, the EU customs regulations - The first two topics are included in the first part. The compiler is grateful for all the remarks and questions, which might emerge while reading the teaching materials.
