Telemaatikasüsteemi kasutamisest tulenev mõju veondusettevõtetes Fleet Complete näitel

Abstract

Lõputöö eesmärgiks oli välja selgitada Fleet Complete telemaatikasüsteemi kasutamisest tulenev mõju veondusettevõtetes. Selle väljaselgitamiseks viidi läbi intervjuud Eesti veondusettevõtetes, kes kasutavad antud telemaatikasüsteemi. Lõputöö autor analüüsis intervjuudest saadud vastuseid ja tegi järeldused, kuidas mõjutab Fleet Complete telemaatikasüsteemi kasutamine veondusettevõtteid. Kokku osales intervjuudes viis Eesti veondusettevõtete esindajat. Kolmest püstitatud uurimisülesandest leidsid kinnitust kõik. Kuigi uurimisülesanded said kinnitust, leidis autor kitsaskohti nende ülesehituses. Kindlasti oleks võinud olla ka valimis neid ettevõtteid, kes ei kasuta Fleet Complete telemaatikasüsteemi. Sellisel juhul oleksid uurimuse tulemused olnud objektiivsemad ja usaldusväärsemad. Lõputöös selgus nii see, et telemaatikasüsteemi Fleet Complete kasutamine mõjutab veondusettevõtteid kui ka, et see on parim Eestis kasutatavatest telemaatikasüsteemidest. Samuti selgus, et ettevõtted, kes kasutavad telemaatikasüsteeme, on jätkusuutlikud. Lõputöö autor leiab, et usaldusväärsemate tulemuste saamiseks peab antud teemat põhjalikumalt uurima, laiendades valimit erinevate osapooltega. Käesolevast lõputööst leiavad telemaatikasüsteemi Fleet Complete arendajad parendusettepanekuid süsteemi täiustamiseks. Veondusettevõtted, kes kasutavad antud telemaatikasüsteemi, soovivad mõningaid lisafunktsioone, mida Fleet Complete praegu ei võimalda. Lõputöö autor leiab, et töö on kasulikuks informatsiooniallikaks nii Fleet Complete’ile kui ka veondusettevõtetele, kes plaanivad tulevikus Fleet Complete telemaatikasüsteemi kasutusele võtta. Töös analüüsitud tegurid saaksid olla kasuks muudatuste ja uuenduste tegemisel.

In 2018, Canadian company Fleet Complete acquired Ecofleet, the telematics service provider in Estonia and Scandinavia. As a result of this transaction, Fleet Complete became the largest telematics services provider in Northern Europe with 110,000 vehicles. The news raised the interest of the author of the thesis to investigate the impact of the use of a specific telematics system on Estonian transport companies. The purpose of the thesis The Impact of Using Telematic System in Transport Enterprises by the Example of Fleet Complete was to find out the impact Fleet Complete telematic system has on transport enterprises who are using it. To find it out, there were several interviews conducted in Estonian transport enterprises who are using the Fleet Complete telematic system. The author of the thesis analysed the answers from the interviews and concluded how the usage of Fleet Complete telematic system affects transport enterprises. There were total of five different Estonian transport enterprises representatives that participated in the interviews. All of the three research tasks were confirmed. Although the research tasks were confirmed, the author found flaws in their structure. There should have certainly been companies that do not use the Fleet Complete telematics system in the sample as well. In that case the results of the study would have been more objective and reliable. The thesis revealed that the use of the telematics system Fleet Complete affects transport companies as well as it is the best telematics system used in Estonia. It also became clear that companies that are using telematics systems are sustainable. The author of the thesis considers that to get more reliable results, this topic needs to be studied more thoroughly by expanding the sample with different parties. From this thesis, developers of the telematics system Fleet Complete will find suggestions for improvements for system. It became clear that transport companies that use this telematics system want some extra features which Fleet Complete does not allow currently. The author of the thesis believes that this work is a useful source of information for both Fleet Complete and the transport companies that are planning to deploy the Fleet Complete telematics system in the future. Factors analyzed in the thesis could be beneficial for making changes and innovations.
