| dc.description.abstract | Lapsevanematel on õigus ja kohustus kasvatada ja hoolitseda oma laste eest, neid suunata ja juhtida. Samas on riigil ülesandeks pakkuda peredele sobivat abi, suurendamaks vanemate võimalusi laste eest hoolitsemisel. Vanemate õigused ja kohustused on Eestis reguleeritud mitmete seaduste, aktide ja määrustega, millega pannakse põhivastutus lapse õiguste tagamise eest lapsevanemale. Käesolevas lõputöös uuriti lastevanemate teadlikkust oma õigustest ja kohustustest alaealise lapse kasvatamisel. Lõputöös tuginetakse rolliteooriale, mis käsitleb vanemate rolli olulisust, kuna see määrab lapse suhtlemisoskuste, hoiakute ja käitumisharjumuste välja kujunemist. Sealhulgas mõjutab rolli täitmine lapse elukvaliteeti, heaolu ning perekonna kui terviku funktsioneerimist. Töö esimeses osas antakse ülevaade teoreetilistest lähtekohtadest, kus kirjeldatakse täpsemini vanema rolli olemusest ja täitmisest. Teises osas kirjeldatakse vanema hooldusõiguse ja -kohustuse olemust lapse kasvatamises ning sellega seotud probleeme praktikas. Kolmandas osas kirjeldatakse uurimuse metoodikat ja käiku ning töö eetilistest põhimõtetest. Tutvustatakse täpsemalt, kuidas moodustus valim ning millistele lähenemistele tuginedes uurimustöö empiirilise osa läbi viimisel tugineti. | dc.description.abstract | Parents have the right and obligation to raise, care for and direct their children. At the same time, the state has a task to provide appropriate assistance to families in order to increase the opportunities for parents to take care of their children. The rights and obligations of parents are regulated in Estonia by several laws and acts and regulations giving primary responsibility for ensuring the rights of the child. This thesis investigated parents' awareness of their rights and responsibilities in raising a underaged child. The thesis is based on role theory, which deals with the importance of the role of parents, as it determines the development of the child's communication skills, attitudes and behavioral habits. Among other things, the fulfillment of the role affects the child's quality of life, well-being and the functioning of the family as a whole. The first part of the thesis provides an overview of the role theory, which describes in more detail the nature and fulfillment of the role of the parent. The second part describes the nature of the parent's rights and responsibilities for custody of the child and the related problems in practice. The third part describes the methodology and course of the research and the ethical principles of the thesis. It is presented in more detail how the sample was formed and on which approaches the empirical part of the research was based.
