AMV Logistics OÜ on kasvav logistika ettevõtte, millel on potentsiaali laiendada oma tegevushaaret veelgi. Arvestades selle eesmärgiga tuleb tagada efektiivne töökorraldus ja valmisolek mahtude kasvamiseks. Hetkel on selle peamiseks takistuseks kasutatava terminali väiksus. Tavapärane lahendus, et suurenenud töömahu korral palkame rohkem töötajaid aga hakkab ühel hetkel ammenduma. Seega probleemi lahendamiseks tuleb välja selgitada terminali efektiivsuse tõstmise võimalused uue terminaliplaani näitel. Lõputöö raames kaardistati kaubaterminal läbivate veokite arv, saadetiste arv ja pakkeüksuste arv. Samuti kaardistati ka kui palju on erinevat käsitlemisviisi vajavaid saadetisi ja pakkeüksuseid. Lisaks võrreldi praeguse terminaliplaani põhjal tööprotsessidele kuluvat aega ja kalkuleeriti, kui palju ajasäästu annaks uus terminaliplaan. Autor viis läbi mõõtmise, mille raames määrati kindlaks ühe pakkeüksuse laadimiseks kuluv aeg laadimissilla kaudu ja ühe pakkeüksuse laadimiseks kuluv aeg küljelt laadimise kaudu laadimisplatsil. Tulemused näitasid, et uus terminaliplaan annaks läbi erinevate protsesside efektiivistamise ajasäästu keskmiselt 567 minutit nädalas. Kokkuvõtteks leiab autor, et lõputöö tõestas uuritava probleemi olemasolu ja täitis oma eesmärgi. Autori ettepanek oleks kaaluda uue kaubaterminali kasutusele võtmist, kus oleks eraldi nii vastuvõtu- kui ka väljastuslaadimissillad, samuti külglaadimise ramp. Selle uurimistöö probleemile välja pakutud lahendus uue terminaliplaani näol aitab ettevõttel toime tulla kasvavate mahtudega ja olla turul konkurentsivõimeline. Samuti paraneb võimalus laiendada käsitletava kauba sortimenti , mille abil saab ettevõte tagada turul konkurentsieelise.
The following thesis Working Process Efficiency Enhancement Based on AMV Logistis LLC New Terminal Plan is motivated by the fact that the terminal capacity will remain low for arising trade flows and it will result in problems that prevent conducting work operations. Also with existing resources it’s complex to handle growing volumes and limited ability to expand the customer base. Therefore it’s necessary to consider the new terminal in order to ensure sustainability. The aim of this thesis is compilation of new terminal plan for raising efficiency. In the first part of thesis author gives a review about the use of the terminal in the supply chain, raising effeciency in terminal by different realms and terminal planning. The second part of thesis focuses on analyzing the company’s terminal daily operations and goods flow. Also on problems related to them and in the end was a new terminal plan created. The thesis mapped how many heavy vehicles, consignments ja packages passed through the terminal. Also it mapped how many shipment and packing units with different handling needs passed through terminal. Then it compared how long time is required to process trade flows and how much time savings would a new terminal plan give. With the thesis it was ascertained that when the number of trucks going trough the terminal is raising, then also raises number of shipments and packages that flow through the terminal. Also was found out that approximately 17 % of goods that flow through the terminal have to be loaded by truck side. Author did measuring and with that was determined how long does it take to handle one packing unit through the loading dock and how long does it take to handle one packing unit through the side loading on the loading yard. Cosignments quantitive analysis mapped how many consignments are not arriving and outgoing with the same quantity as shown on loading list originally and use extra time to handle. Approximately 9 % consignments in one week have that problem. The results showed that new terminal plan would give spare time through different variety of processes about 567 minutes per week in average. 41 In conclusion , the author finds that the thesis has proved the existence of a research problem and fulfilled it’s purpose. The author proposes considering starting to use a new terminal, which has separate loading docks for inboud and outbound trade flows and also a specific loading dock for side loading. The solution, which is proposed to this research, helps the company to cope with increasing volumes and to be competitive in the market. It also improves the ability to expand the wideness of the goods, that can be handled, so the company will have a competitive advantage.
