Roheline Rakvere

Käesolev projekt on diplomitöö Tallinna Tehnikakõrgkooli rakendusarhitektuuri erialal. Töö eesmärgiks on elavdada Rakvere kesklinna miljööd. Projekti elluviimisel tekiksid linna keskmesse uued elu - ja töökohad ning ka vaba aja veetmise võimalused. Kuna tänapäevases arenevas maailmas mängib üha suuremat rolli taaskasutus, siis oli ka töö autori põhiargumendiks kasutada käesolevas projektis erinevaid taastuvenergia vorme. Planeeringualal kasutatakse ära näiteks kineetilist energiat tootvaid sillutisplaate ning ka katusele käivaid päikesepaneele. Kuna linnakvartalile sarnane kontseptsioon Rakveres puudub ja hetkel asub planeeringualal üks suur hoone, kuhu väga tihti inimesed ei satu, tuli autoril idee luua midagi mitmekesisemat. Tegemist hubase on linnaruumiga, mille liigendatud ruumiprogramm aitab äripindadel toetada elupindu. Igapäevaselt vajaminevad teenused on vaid minutite kaugusel ning soodustavad autoliikluse vähenemist linna äärealadel asuvatesse keskustesse. Pakutud lahenduse mitmekülgne haljastus tagab kvartali siseselt rõõmsameelse õhkkonna ning lisaks esteetilisele pakub ka funktsionaalset väärtust. See on koht, mis ei ole mõeldud ainult kortermajades resideeruvatele inimestele, vaid kutsub külalisi ka mujalt maailmast. Kvartali omapärane ülesehitus loob huvitava atmosfääriga linnaruumi ning aitab Rakvere elavana hoida.

The current project is the final thesis for Tallinn University of Technology institute of architecture speciality. The main purpose of this Project is to enliven the center of Rakvere. The project would also create new jobs and living spaces in the city center, as well as leisure opportunities. As recycling is playing an increasingly important role in today's developing world, the author’s main argument was to use different forms of renewable energy in this project. In the planning area, for example, paving slabs producing kinetic energy are used, as well as solar panels that are installed on the roof. As there is no concept similar to the city quarter in Rakvere and at the moment there is one large building in the planning area, which is rather not used amongst city residents, so the author came up with an idea to create something more diverse. The project is a cozy urban space, which articulated space program helps to support living spaces in commercial premises. Due to daily services being just minutes away, car traffic is reduced to the outskirts of the city. The versatile landscaping of the proposed solution ensures a cheerful atmosphere within the quarter and, in addition to aesthetics, also offers functional value. It is a place not only for people residing in apartment buildings, but also invites guests from other parts of the world. The unique structure of the quarter creates an urban space with an interesting atmosphere and helps to keep Rakvere alive.
