Saku "esimene" kultuurikeskus

Käesoleva lõputöö teemaks on multifunktsionaalne kultuurikeskus Sakku, mis oleks esimene sellises mahus ja selliste funktsioonidega kultuurikeskus Sakus. Asukoha valik tulenes suurest huvist endise Saku näitusehalli vastu, mis on jäetud unarusse ja lagunema. Diplomitöö ideeks on taastada endise näitusehalli suurus ja võimsus ning luua Saku elanikele uudne ja mitme otstarbeline kultuurikeskus, mis oleks suunatud kõigile, nii noorematele kui vanematele inimestele. Arhitektuurne lahendus tulenes soovist luua rangele ja nurgelisele näitusehallile juurde midagi voolavat ja kergemat, aga samas mitte kaotada endise näitusehalli võlu. Kultuurikeskuse ruumiprogramm sai jaotatud kahte erinevasse mahtu, ühes mahus ja oma stiiliga on tehtud kontserdimaja koos konverentsisaaliga ja teine, voolavam ning vabama loominguga on kultuurikeskuse peamaja, mis hõlmab endas suurt avarat fuajeed, läbi mitme korruse kohvikut ning mitme korrusega vallavalitsuse ruume. Saku esimene sellise mahuga kultuurikeskus tooks kohalike inimesteni uued huvid ja senisest suuremad kultuurisündmused, lisaks kultuurile tooks selline lahendus ka vallajuhtimise inimestele lähemale.

The theme of this graduation thesis is the creation of a multifunctional cultural center to Saku, which would be the first cultural center of a kind in Saku with such a capacity and functionality. The choice of location came from a great interest towards the former Saku Exhibition Hall, which has currently become neglected and degraded. The idea of the diploma thesis is to restore the size and capacity of the former exhibition hall and create a new and multifunctional cultural center for Saku residents, aimed towards everyone, both young and elderly. The architectural solution stems from the desire to create something flowing and lighter for the rigid and angular exhibition hall, but at the same time to not lose the charm of the former exhibition hall. The room program of the Cultural Center was divided into two different volumes- a concert hall with a conference room with its own style in one volume, and the other, more streamlined and with a looser creativity, the main building of the Cultural Center, which includes a large spacious lobby, a multi-story cafe and a multi-story rural municipality premises. The first cultural center of this size would bring new interests to local people and larger cultural events than before and in addition to culture, such a solution would also bring people closer to rural municipality management.
