Laagna tee jalakäijate viadukt

Käesoleva diplomitöö eskiislahenduse eesmärgiks on juhtida tähelepanu Laagna tee ületustele jalakäija perspektiivist ning seda terve Laagna tee pikkuses. Välja pakutud asukoht on üks võimalikest ning tänu Kadrioru pargi ja Pae pargi tihedale kasutusele on lahendus võrdlemisi mahukas kuid alternatiivsetes asukohtades oleks võimalik mahtu vähedada vastavalt kontekstile. Töö tulemuseks on loomulikud liikumissuunad kahe pargi vahel ning lisafunktsioonina kohvik Pae pargi külastajatele ja miks mitte ka lõunasöögikohana ümbruses elavatele inimestele. Autor on lähtunud ideest, et pakutud lahendus oleks atraktiivne nii kohalikele kui ka kaugemal elavatele inimestele ja pakuks huvi kõigile.

The purpose of this thesis Pedestrian bridge over Laagna road is to draw attention for the need of safer and more logical pedestrian walking paths over Laagna road. This thesis focuses on one specific location, but the solution can be implemented in different locations in the whole lenght of Laagna road. The chosen location connects Kadriorg park with Pae park and as both are frequently visited the proposed solution is bigger scaled than would be needed in other possible locations. The pedestrian bridge offers safer and more direct crossing from Kadriorg to Pae park. Pae park has a lot of attractions for every age – bird watching lookout, public playgrounds, fitness equipment, picnic areas and running paths but so far the only missing function has been a place where to stop and rest next to a cup of coffee. In addition to the pedestrian bridge a cafe was designed considering sun orientation and noise pollution produced by the traffic of Laagna road. The cafe is mainly under the bridge and fitted into the landscape to maintain the view of the lake and the park. The view to the lake creates a beautiful atmosphere which adds to the value of the building and it is therefore attractive to locals and visitors from all over.
